Appendix 6 of the Regulation contains information to be provided to persons at risk of being affected by an accident at a COMAH facility:- Appendix 1 of the Regulation lists the hazardous substances or categories of hazardous substances that cause the requirement to use, as well as the quantities set by the two thresholds of application at the lower and upper levels. When changes are made to the facility or the way it is operated, or if there are new facts or information that could affect the site`s risk profile, the safety report should be reviewed and, if necessary, re-examined.

It needs to be reviewed after five years, even if nothing has changed. The operator must notify the certification body of any revisions, and even if the five-year review does not result in a review. Higher level operators must have an MAPP that must be included in the security report as a separate document, as well as the following additional tasks. Information relating to the municipality or emergency planning authority must be communicated by the date when the internal emergency plan for the site is to be completed.
